Hello everyone, it's me Sam  Hope you all are doing well as I am, I've been doing well and I thought of stopping by to say hello. Lot's has happened in my life this year, as I am sober and doing things I have always wanted to do, my family is happy to have me back normal, whatever that means, they like me the way I am supposed to be, a father and a husband, they look up to me as a hero who leads the family to a better life, not sure if I deserve the title. It creates a burden on me as I am a built in screw up meant to miss up my life and those around me by default, but I wont let them down, it will hurt so much to do that. I finally paid off the mortgage on my house and I am debt free ( not bad living in Northern Cali), they call that achieving critical mass in business talk, whatever it is I am blessed and I worked hard for it. One of the ways I deal with my addiction is to bury myself in work, I am so tired I don't want to drink, on the other hand I am so tired I want a drink  Life is decent and I should not complain about anything, knowing I am a full blown alcoholic who could have easily ended up much worse, but look at me, I am secured, and isn't that what we humans look for? Not sure if I am back participating, but I wanted to say hi to all and let you all know I am still in one piece....a big piece  All the best, Sam |

oh oh it's good to see you. I'm so glad you dropped in and told us how things are going for you. Well done for paying off the house. Awesome.
working hard, well my father use to tell us kids, no one dies from hard work. I believe that. I think sitting around doing nothing could kill you more than working.
so stick around, obviously you have been missed.

Sounds like it's been a pretty good year and I am so happy for you.  I'm really glad you checked in to let us know how you're doing. I've been thinking about you and wondering, since I've started copying the ol' Dana's Journey thread. I've been seeing a lot of names that I wonder about - yours definitely being one of them. Working hard could be fatal according to the Japanese, they even have a word for it "Karoshi" it means death by overwork, the Japanese can't just have it easy, it has to do with wanting to be competitive always, God bless them as I admire their culture and food very much....especially the food Sam |

So nice to see some of the Old Gang back together again!!! Sam, my cantankerous Old Friend how the hell are Ya?? PJ you and Sam has better stick around we need you round here!! Dana Glad to see you keeping this new place active waiting for some of the rest of us to get involved! Angelina, well I just miss you!!
Dave is here with us as I remember him saying once that we could hide but we could not get away.
This is all new but I think that we can make it a Home if we really want to.
