Hello, I believe I have a problem with alcohol and I want to quit drinking. I have tried a few times on my own but always end up slipping... I don't know where to start and I already know the nearest AA to me is over an hour away which is not realistic for me as I have three children and a husband who works a lot. Thanks for any advice and insight you can give. God bless.

Hello, Glad you logged in today. When I needed to quit I read posts and any articles I could find about recovery. Then the site was more active and a peer was my online sponsor. Hope you return to receive additional support. Take care.

There are many online AA meetings. I personally found them very helpful and supportive. Visit many and choose the one you feel most comfortable with. The first few weeks of sobriety are crazy, my brain was all over the place! Good luck. We also have a 12 step on our forum! P.S. they are free so if you are asked for money ignore them. Hugs clue.
