Thanks for checking in, I'm still sober but am having a rough time. I am proud of myself for not drinking. Feels like sobriety and integrity are about all I have left (among.other good things) and I am hanging tight to them. Hello everyone!!
Great to see you around again. Your post made me think about one thing. Despite all of the loss you have experienced, you are left with two of the most important things that a person can have. Those two things are the anchor that will prevent you from ever drifting away. And those two things are a firm foundation from which to build the rest of your life.
I'm glad you've stayed strong. I hit a small bump in the road recently and struggled and like you . . . didn't drink.
We've all got our faults and tend to magnify them. I really appreciate how you tend to focus on the positive. . . .
In particular, I'm glad you mentioned holding on to integrity . . . Without it . . we cease to examine the affect alcohol has on us and others. Not for the purpose of reminiscing and regretting, but instead staying in the present to remain focused on sobriety and peace of mind.
Good to see you. Take care of yourself. Pam
