Hey Kim, I liked it as well, I thought she was funny and made good points. This last part she wrote below when she talked about "this phase" I understand as hitting bottom. Like they say you only quit when you had your last drink, or the pain from drinking is greater than the pain of not drinking. Hitting bottom BTW is different from one person to another, could be a few hours in a drunk tank to sleeping under a bridge after losing everything.
"No matter what you tell yourself, what usually happens is more drinking and more consequences. The good news is, trying to convince yourself that you’re not an alcoholic is healthy, because if you're like me, you won’t ever to get the point of admitting you are one without this phase. I had to try to control it to understand that I couldn't. It’s a painful necessity filled with confusion, pain, regret, and if you’re lucky, maybe a little bit of fun. Here, the hope is that you get to a place of so much pain that you finally ask for help".

Hey Sam, I could totally relate to all of it except the part about going into bars. I've been there and done a lot she mentioned. I think I've hit rock bottom this time and I definitely don't want to sleep under a bridge lol. Its going to take all my energy to stay sober though.
