Hey there Pickles, Sorry I must have missed your one innocent question. In my experience around here, you can say anything you like. As for cliquey, that is a great word. It describes my High School perfectly.

Hi Pickles, This is a relatively new forum. It was moved from a site that is no longer active. Many of the members of the other forum have not found their way here. It is not an especially active forum in comparison to the other, however, , if you need to share . . . someone will respond. If you need encouragement you will find it here.
Most people will post on occasion to just check in . . .
The newer people . . . like me . . . will do so more often because we are reading older posts and learning.
Hope you return and share . . .

Thank you, both. This isn’t about sharing nor do I have a question about alcoholism; it’s a simple question about what happened to a veteran member. Does anyone know?

After Dave and the others that have passed, I was worried that something unforeseen had happened to PJ. And thanks, too, for not making me feel like an interloper.

Dang. 19 views and only 1 very nice new person answered my innocent question? Can we say “cliquey?” Hi pickles. I remember you from the previous forum. You were a member there since the old days; the good days, when Dave and Terri were alive and well. I appreciate that you asked about me. No worries; I'm still well, joyful, and content. I feel blessed in many, many ways. I disappeared because I needed to make some choices about how I spend my time; my work is very demanding, and I don't see that changing in the foreseeable future. The free time I have left is spent on reading, yoga, writing (fun writing), and visiting with family and friends (often on Facebook). In the summer, gardening is also in the mix. :-) As for your reference to the forum being "cliquey," that's a legitimate question; one that deserved a polite answer. Since I've participated in online forums (which goes back a lot of years), I've heard accusations of cliquishness. It's usually by someone who is new, or who hasn't been around in quite a while (like yourself), who sees the regulars having conversations that seem to leave others out. No one is doing it intentionally; people just get to know each other on a forum like this and forget that not everyone understands what they're talking about. Although it's no one's fault, it can seem very exclusive and unwelcoming, and I'm sorry if you felt that way. No one should feel that way on a forum that was created to help people. Another small point: when you see that there are 19 views (or 50, or 1,000) that only indicates the number of times anyone has clicked into the post. So if you kept checking to see if someone had answered your question, every time you checked it was counted as another view. Again, thank you for asking about me, pickles.
