Sorry about painting over a couple of your paintings. That was pure insanity brought on by my neighbour. I really believe his death was a miracle of God since he was hurting so many people. I actually painted over my favourite so more regret. Wishing you all the best in life and success with your cafe.

Hello everyone,
well its it’s May so I thought I would drop a line or two and tell you all is well down under. the cafe is going well, it starts to slow down now as winter is coming. I love winter but not a lot of people like to travel in it.
i play darts now, it’s a women’s group, last week we had a gathering of all the women and played doubles championship.
I only started playing last year, some of the women have been playing for 30 years. So I’m very new and very very not good at it.
Who would think getting a tiny dart to go to where you want it could be so hard. Well it is. Anyway my partner and I made it into the grand final. I was so nervous, and very loud when I won a game. Each game was best of 3 games. We lost but it was a very exciting night and all the ladies stayed to watch. Usually the real experienced ones get to play. But not this year. We even get our photo in the local paper.
so that’s my news. Until next time.
Smile, say hello and be happy,
angelina

Hello everyone,
i hadnt realised it’s been such a long time since I last updated you all. Sorry about that. Owning a cafe and working 7 days a week, time has just flown.
all is good down under. Penguin hasn’t been well for over 10 months now, we are still working on him getting better. It’s Christmas Day here tomorrow and we have 15 customers coming for lunch, so it will be a busy day. I said last year I wouldn’t do it again but here I am doing it again. Husband always seems to win these arguments. Lol.
so for lunch tomorrow we will be having, ham, turkey, seafood, roast potatoes and pumpkins, asparagus wrapped in percetta or however that is spelt. We are also doing chicken pasta which was my children’s favourite, we have salads and if that doesn’t fill them they can have apple pie with homemade Dutch cream and ice cream.
so it should be a very busy day. I haven’t done any art work at all since opening the cafe, so all the ones I had made are slowly being sold. Some go to Melbourne,Sydney and some go over seas. Not sure what to do if they all go. I will need to take time off to just paint. Now that sounds like a real holiday.
i Will try and visit more, let you know how things are down here. I still don’t drink and still don’t smoke. I can’t imagine doing either of them and I also don’t miss either of them.
Merry christmas as to all of you and I hope 2020 is the year you decide not to drink.
love Angelina aka tutu

It’s been such a long time since I came here, so much has happened in that time as well. I’m still sober and still not smoking, so that’s great. It’s been 6 years no drinking and 5 smoking, well not quite but close enough. I still get the odd urge, but it doesn’t last long. I’m 60 this October so I’m old enough to know better, lol.
we have had the cafe closed now for nearly 6 weeks, boy it’s been a really tough 6 weeks as well. We had to have our dog Mary put down last Friday, it was awful, I cried like a baby, she looked at me, as if she knew, it was absolutely horrible. Hubby and I cried all the way home. But it was the best thing for her, our vet was lovely. So April, boy what a f### of a month. Sorry for the swearing.
but I have managed to do a few painting while we have been closed. We also finished off an office for our cafe, so if and when we open it will all run much smoother.
hubby has been really sick, has rheumatoid arthritis, so we have been seeing a specialist, but also taking turmeric, which I think is helping. He is very young to be in such pain, poor thing.
the covid 19 has been a real disaster world wide. Australia is doing ok but businesses are suffering badly. Many small businesses won’t open I don’t think. Enough on that subject.
i now have 4 grandchildren, my son and his wife have and boy and a girl, so has my daughter. So I am the proud grandma of 4 kids. not that I see them or have much to do with them, but life can suck but life still goes on. tasmania is still as beautiful as ever, but I’m thinking not so many overseas visitors for a while, just locals. anyway, hope everyone is well and staying safe, staying sane which is really important. until next visit.

Despite the challenges and a really tough April, you have a great perspective Angelina! Glad you are staying positive, and hoping that your husband begins to feel better... I've heard good things about turmeric. I also suffer from quite a bit of joint pain. I've begun stretching every morning (well, sober mornings) and it really sets my day off in a positive way and seems to help reduce the pain. I just watch Youtube videos for some different stretching routines.
Have a wonderful day!

Hey Doc, thanks for the stretching ideas, I will tell hubby about them. I hope your weekend was ok and you managed to get through it without drinking. Life IS so much better without it.
keep checking in and we will check in on you.
