It is not easy working the steps. However, when you put pen to paper there is the intrinsic reward of seeing your growth. Whether you do so with a sponsor, a therapist, in a workshop setting of a rehabilitation facility, independently, etc. the tangible work you've completed allows for reflection or the opportunity for meditation or prayer regarding the past, the emotion or a particular behavior or response.
