I agree. Why does the board say " God " ? Perhaps I am mistaken ? Not sure ?!

Hi Pam, Sounds like a perfect Sunday morning ! Enjoy. Mike is your hubby ? No sunshine today , just lots of rain and fog. It's fairly warm though. I really love the sunshine but will have to wait a few days. Just staying inside watching television. Staying off my leg a bit today. I think I over did it a little since only needing the cane. John is working on the new bathroom again. It has been a long project but he is very busy with many things. He's a good guy.
Sorry about the message last night......
Enjoy your breakfast !

No . . . Mike is my son (my one and only) He lives in the basement . . .
Sorry about the rain ... however . . that's better than snow . . .
I've cooked quite a bit so . . . after breakfast . . . I probably don't need to prepare any more food . . . leftovers for us . . .
A new bathroom . . . that takes a lot of time and skill . . . That's wonderful that he's handy around the house . . . John sounds like a good guy . . .
Don't think twice about the message . . .
Today is a new day . . .

Hi again, Pam.
Thank you for your kindness ! I seriously thought you might rake me over the coals for my mishap. I appreciate you much for that.
You must really enjoy cooking. I do at times. Today I made a pasta salad. Didn't have all that I needed but did the best with what's here. I like making things in the crock pot, too. Roasts, turkey, chili, etc. The crock pot does all the work ( almost ). I also enjoy making spaghetti sauce and meatloaf. During the Spring and Summer I love a good salad. Soups are great this time of year ! John likes to do that.

I do enjoy cooking . . . I associate food with my favorite memories of family and friends . . . I got a crock pot several years ago when my oven (gave out) . . . just before Thanksgiving I used it to prepare the ham . . . Afterwards . . .soup . . .and of all things . . . lasagna . . . I've bought a crockpot cookbook to prepare other recipes but usually I just start cooking on the stove . . . My meatloaf tastes great but always falls apart . . . I've yet to get that recipe right . . . I love salads also . . . I used to take the time to prep veggies to throw them together . . . I don't bother with that now . . . as you said . . . whatever ingredients I have that's what I incorporate . . . I'm like that too . . . I usually prepared something on Saturdays that needs to simmer . . . Have you ever prepared Salmon patties?

I have tried but been unsuccessful. Regarding your meatloaf : So you put an egg, some torn up bread slices and a splash of milk. I think that binds it together pretty well. I love a good meatloaf. How do you make good Salmon patties ? I see we are going to have lots to talk about together..... we spend a lot of time on the computer and it's wonderful to chat with someone.

Okay that's what I'm not doing . . . I used crackers instead of bread . . . Do you season with barbeque sauce and mustard . . . ? Just a moment . . . I'll look up the recipe I use . . .

No, never have used BBQ or mustard. I just add the beef : 1 egg, 1/4 cup milk, 2 pieces of torn up bread, onion, green pepper, salt and pepper. This is for one or one and a half lbs. of ground beef. Once it is molded into shape I top it with a broad stripe of Ketchup and parsley. From top to bottom....pretty. I might have to make one this week...lol !

1 - 15 can pink salmon . . . drain and save juice . . . 1 egg 1/2 cup of flour . . .(although I don't usually use all of it . . .) Pepper to taste 1/2 cup of chopped green onion - Usually - a dash of onion power instead I usually add minced green pepper and red pepper 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire or to taste . . . I don't use that much and usually add a taste of mustard 1/2 cup of salmon juice 1 heap of teaspoon baking power - I don't use this much - just a bit . . . This recipe calls for shortening but I use canola oil Mix salmon with egg ( season the egg with a onion powder, crushed red pepper, a dash of hot pepper, a dash of salt) Add flour and stir - Mixture will be thick Add peppers and Worcestershire, etc. In the salmon juice add the baking powder . . . I know it sounds strange but it works . . . because of the saltiness . . . I don't use a lot . . . ) The purpose to create a foam . . . This is from a Southern cookbook . . . Pour into salmon mixture and mix lightly with a fork . . . Make sure the oil is hot and cook patties within 15 minutes of mixing . . . Love this recipe . . . Mike and I eat the leftovers with eggs the next morning . . .
