I'm wondering if some posters have no idea that we've moved digs. Otto comes to mind for me. I wonder if he's staying behind to switch off the lights. Does anyone have his contact info to let him know that we've moved to another corner of this here 3rd rock from the sun?

Hi Luv,
In mid-August Buddy posted a message in the old forum called "Time to Move" with a link to this forum, and Otto was one of the first to reply. Buddy also did a second post with this link.
So, anyone visiting that forum -- God knows how they'll find it, but if they do -- will see that we're here, not there.

Everyone,
I just visited our old home, or rather the bookmarked location of our old home. Apparently the dozers came in and it's all gone.
I hear they're putting up some condos.

Yeah, me too. I planned on taking a trip down memory lane, but when I got there the bulldozers were in full swing. I think I saw Buddy's old gavel flying up in the air, also Dave's crayons (the ones he used to shove up his nostrils for silly photos). I managed to gather some flying papers of old gems and saved them in a folder. I had a bit of a cry.
But, I'm happy here in our new digs. I like the decor. Not fancy, but functional.
Buddy has a new gavel - with 'AboutAlcoholism.ProBoards.com' etched into the wood. I hope he doesn't have to use it.

The lights are off. I used my bookmark to see what's been happening in the old forum and it sent me here. I first started posting at 3 days sober in December of 2011 and continued routinely for 2 years. I'd visit the site daily, most days more than once. The support from the old gang was priceless. To feel "I am not alone" and to be able to say to others, "You are not alone" at times would bring me to tears.
Kudos and a big Thank You to Buddy T to keeping the support (and site) going for those of us wanting to be sober, first getting sober and finding our path to stay sober. I'll be 4 years sober and taking it one day at a time on November 30th, 2015.

Still sober here going on 3 years. I am great, I have purpose in helping raise my sons daughter. My marriage is honest and peaceful and I have never been happier. Wishing you all the same, love Igotaclue! xxoo
